Radiance, CSU Realizing the Promise is Friday, May 11
Presented by Parker Hannifin Corporation
Cleveland State University's second-annual Radiance, CSU Realizing thePromise takes place Friday, May 11, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Student Center, 2121 Euclid Ave.
A cocktail/hors d'oeuvres/dessert reception with short program, Radiance is CSU's signature event in support of student scholarships. Last year's inaugural event raised $377,000, which enabled CSU to award Radiance scholarships to 130 undergraduate students in good academic standing who were at risk for dropping out of school due to financial issues.
This year's event will include a celebration of scholarship with President Ronald M. Berkman and students, musical entertainment, and presentation of the President's Medal to alumnus Donald E. Washkewicz, chairman, CEO and president of Parker Hannifin Corporation. He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from CSU's Fenn College of Engineering in 1972. The President's Medal is the most prestigious non-academic recognition that the University confers.
Individual tickets for Radiance are $125 ($85 tax deductible). Individual sponsorships are $1,000 ($920 tax deductible, includes two tickets) and $2,500 ($2,340 tax deductible, includes four tickets). Corporate sponsorships at $5,000 and up also are available.
