Accessibility at Cleveland State

In efforts to comply with federal law and to provide the most inclusive learning environment possible we have developed policy, standards, and guidance for accessibility of Cleveland States electronic and information technology (EIT). This site is developed and maintained by the CSU Accessible EIT Committee. Through these pages we will explain what content and resources need to be made accessible and how to do the work providing accessibility in EIT you create and use.

The Accessible EIT committee is chaired by Cleveland State University's EIT Accessibility Coordinator from our Information Services and Technology department. The membership is composed of stakeholders in other divisions and departments across campus including but not limited to Instructional Technology and Distance Learning, eLearning, the Michael Schwartz 中国体育彩票APP下载:, Disability Services, and IS&T.

Cleveland State is currently engaged in developing our policy, standards, and guidance. These will inform our decisions on creating action plans and time frames for completing the work necessary to provide greater accessibility to persons with disabilities in our activities, services, and programs. We are first looking at electronic documents, audio visual media, web sites, and software. Standards and guidance will follow for other areas of EIT. We believe that Cleveland State is already providing a high degree of accessibility to persons with disabilities but these exercises will guarantee that accessibility is considered in future decisions that affect students, publically facing information, and other program participants.
