Ceremony I: Doctoral Graduates
Friday, December 13, 2024 at 6 p.m.

Ceremony II: Undergraduate and Graduate students in College of Arts and Sciences, Monte Ahuja College of Business, Levin College of Public Affairs and Education, Washkewicz College of Engineering and College of Health
Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 1 p.m.
Wolstein Center


Thank you in advance for your attendance and assistance to make this semester's Commencement celebration wonderful for our graduates! We look forward to seeing you there!

Open Rehearsal

Open rehearsal for those who wish to get familiar with the commencement set-up, learn about your role and ask questions are welcome during the times below:

  • Doctoral ceremony: Waetjen Auditoriam (MU) from 10 a.m.–noon on Friday, Dec. 13. 
  • Master's and bachelor's ceremony: Wolstein Center (WO) from 1–3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13
    • Please enter through the Annex entrance and head to the arena floor on the lower level

Doctoral ceremony
Friday, Dec. 13

Please head to room G17 in the Music and Communication Building (MU) no later than 5 p.m. Please enter from East 21st Street entrance. There will be assistance available to direct you where to go, with robing and where to find snacks. 

Central Garage (CG) is open for the occasion, no parking pass necessary.

Master's and bachelor's ceremony
Saturday, Dec. 14

Please arrive at the Wolstein Center no later than noon. Please enter via the Annex door, located next to the Medical Mutual Gate off of East 21st Street, and use the elevator to head up to the fourth floor robing room. Platform party participants should head to the fifth floor robing room. There will be lunch served in the fourth floor atrium prior to the event. Doors open to graduates and guests at 11 a.m.

All garages except South and Prospect will be open to the public for this event, no parking voucher needed. South Garage will be available to faculty with parking voucher only. Please see your college representative below for a parking voucher prior to the event. 

General Staff Assisting

Doctoral ceremony
Friday, Dec. 13

Please head to the Music and Communication Building (MU) between 4–4:30 p.m. and meet in the atrium outside Waetjen Auditorium to get your assignments. Please look for Heather Schlosser or Michelle Schilling. From there, you will be directed where to go next and where to find snacks. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for graduates and guests!

Central Garage (CG) is open for the occasion, no parking pass necessary.

Master's and bachelor's ceremony
Saturday, Dec. 14

Please enter the Wolstein Center via Gate C, located off Carnegie Avenue toward East 18th Street, between 10–10:30 a.m. Head down the stairs to the lower level (tunnel area) and head right at the hallway to check in at the "volunteer" check-in table. You will be given your assignment (if you haven't received already) and directed where to go. There will be lunch available in the Viking Lounge on the lower level prior to the event. Please move to your station promptly for 11 a.m. when doors open to graduates and guests.

FACULTy Regalia

Doctoral ceremony participants (Dec. 13): Robes will NOT be delivered to Waetjen Auditorium. All orders must be picked up from Viking Outfitters by 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13. Viking Outfitters staff WILL NOT be on location to assist.

Main ceremony participants (Dec. 14): Regalia orders should be picked up at Viking Outfitters by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12. Any orders not picked up will be transferred to the fourth floor robing room in the Wolstein Center for pick up on commencement day. Viking Outfitters staff will be on location to assist.

Reminder: Any rented regalia must be returned to the Viking Outfitters staff at the end of the ceremony. There will be boxes to return your rentals in the robing rooms for processing faculty.
