Volunteers

Volunteers working at the direction of a University employee for an official university activity will be defended for acts and/or omissions while acting within their authorized capacity. There are certain exclusions including acts or omissions determined by a court to be a felony and losses arising out of contractual breaches. The extent of any defense will be determined by the particular circumstances of the situation. Workers' compensation coverage is not provided to volunteers.
