Graduate Application Steps
STEP 1
Complete the Application for Graduate Admissions
Apply online before submitting any supplemental documents.
STEP 2
Pay Application Fee
A $40 non-refundable application fee is required with each application. The application fee may be paid by credit card at the time the online application is submitted (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express). Application fees can also be paid by check or money order, payable to Cleveland State University. The Master of Occupational Therapy and Master of Science in Nursing programs require a fee of $55.
STEP 3
Obtain Transcripts
All post-secondary school records (transcripts, mark sheets, and certificates). All school records should be submitted in the original language and should be accompanied by a certified English translation. Cleveland State University must see each attempt at passing all courses in order to properly evaluate the credentials for a US grade point average.
STEP 4
Obtain Official Exam Results
Official English language proficiency results are required for admission to Cleveland State University. You must request to have your test scores sent to Cleveland State University directly from the testing agencies.
Official GRE or GMAT scores are required by some departments for admission to Cleveland State University. The admitting program has the option of requiring additional test results from applicants. Please check your department's requirements Click here.

STEP 5
Financial Verification
In order to receive a certificate of eligibility for a student visa (Form I-20 or Form DS-2019) from CSU, all international students must submit documentation of financial support for one academic year. While this is not required for admission consideration, you may choose to submit this documentation with your application materials. All test scores must be official and sent directly to CSU from the testing agency. Please note that all materials submitted in support of your application, including official credentials, become the property of Cleveland State University and will not be released under any circumstance.
