Meet our Peer Mentors

First Year Experience Peer Mentors support all new undergraduate first-year students. Our Peer Mentors pick up where Orientation leaves off---you'll see us during summer programs, at Magnus Fest, FYE initiatives and events throughout your first year. Our Peer Mentors will help prepare you for a successful second year and beyond at Cleveland State. 

Peer Mentors focus on relationship development within the ASC 101 class and into the community of Cleveland State University. Students in this role use their knowledge and perspectives as experienced peers to connect first-year students to people, resources, and information that are essential for student success in the first year of classes. We believe that our Peer Mentors play a significant role in shaping first-year students¡¯ transition from high school to college life, motivation to succeed, and satisfaction with all that Cleveland State has to offer, that contributes to students¡¯ commitment to the second year and beyond.
