Peer Mentor Program

The PNC Foundation grant-funded First Year Experience Peer Mentor Program aims to support and provide academic assistance to undergraduate first-year students at Cleveland State University. Our FYE Peer Mentors serve as an integral part of the First Year Experience Seminar (ASC 101) and first year students' acclimation to campus life. FYE Peer Mentors assist students in developing their knowledge, learning new skills and bolstering their confidence to become independent learners with high academic performance. FYE Peer Mentors work closely with an ASC 101 instructor in planning and preparation for the course, attends each class, assists students in transitioning to Cleveland State University, as well as coordinates multiple out-of-class activities.
