Ordering Information

When ordering departmental cell phone service from the Telecommunications Office, service will be provided by AT&T through negotiated pricing for CSU. When ordering through the Telecommunications Office, you will be added to the account that we currently maintain. You will not need to complete a separate purchase order as a journal entry will be completed to the departmental account number that you provide each month. Any changes that need to be made to the phone account or if the device is not working properly will be handled through a ticket at http://easy.csuohio.edu.

The various devices and services available are listed below. If you would like to process an order through the Telecommunications Office, please open a ticket under our service catalog at  http://easy.csuohio.edu.

After the device is ordered and received, we will work on programming the device (new device or upgrade of existing) with you remotely. We will schedule a time to work with you to complete the programming and answer any questions you may have.

If you have any questions, please contact the Telecommunications Office at 216-687-3881.

Additional Account Information

To access your monthly bill:

Monthly cell phone bills are available online through the AT&T Premier website at localcontrol.firstnet.att.com.

Before viewing your bills, Telecommunications will need to create an account for you. Once the account has been created, you will receive an email from “FirstNet Account Management.” From this email, you will need to click the activate not button and complete the account setup (password, security questions/answer and select the time zone). If you have any issues with setting up the account or accessing your cell phone account, please open a ticket at?http://easy.csuohio.edu

From the cell phone website, you will be able to do the following:

  • View your past invoices, up to 15 months
  • View current usage for the current billing cycle. This includes: remaining balance for minutes, data and text messages and number called and data received.

The charges for your cell phone service will appear in the monthly telephone statements sent to your department each month.? No payment is required from this website; this site is for viewing billing only.

Helpful Hints:

  • Billing Cycle Dates: The billing cycle is from the 10th to the 9th of each month
  • Checking Minutes: There are two ways to check your minutes used each month. From the phone, dial *646# and press the send key. A text message will be sent to your phone with a break down on the minute information (peak minutes, nights and weekends, rollover minutes). You can check the AT&T Premier website by logging into https://wireless.att.com/businesscare
  • Directory Assistance: Calling 411 from your cell phone will result in a charge of $1.99 per call
  • Spam Text Message: You may occasionally receive spam text messages to your phone (i.e. you have won a prize, receive discounts). The messages cannot be blocked but they can be reported to the cellular carrier. Forward the message to 7726 (SPAM). When the message is received, they will ask you to respond with the phone number that the message is coming from. After sending the number, you will receive a confirmation message. Sending and receiving text messages to the SPAM number is a free message. This will help the carrier(s) block these numbers from users in the future.

If you have any questions, please contact the Telecommunications Office at 216-687-3881.
